Bourbon and deep blackberry flavours combine surprisingly well but apple is definitely the unequal partner in this relationship. The result is not a million miles away from a Manhattan.
1.75 shots of Bourbon
0.5 shots of Creme de Mure
2 shots of Apple Juice
Add all the ingredients to the mixing tin, add lots of ice, shake thoroughly and strain.
Serve in a Martini glass and garnish with 3 blackberries.
Berries float at the top of the Epiphany cocktail.
Fill a Martini glass with ice and water to chill it while mixing the cocktail.
Measure 0.5 shots of Creme de Mure and add to the mixing tin.
Measure 2 shots of Apple Juice and add to the mixing tin.
Add lots of ice to the mixing tin.
Shake the drink well until condensation forms on the outside of the mixing tin.
Discard the ice and water in the glass.
Strain the contents of the mixing tin into the glass.
Taste the cocktail and if necessary adjust the balance with a touch of extra sugar or citrus juice.
Garnish the cocktail with 3 blackberries.
